Why we built this

Our right to build the System of Execution for sales™ was earned on the ground.

Others can add a copilot. We have the sales context, the frontline experience and the execution stack required to build agents that act.

How we got here

What we learned changed what we built.

The milestones that matter are not product releases. They are the moments when the reality on the ground forced us to see the problem differently.

2017

We lived the seller’s day.

12months on the field
100sof salespeople shadowed

Our founders shadowed sellers across industries. This was not a series of interviews. In some cases they spent weeks alongside the same salesperson, watching a demanding day: finding prospects, preparing between meetings, explaining complex products, handling objections and following up.

Searching across systems for the right information.
Pitching from long brochures when the customer had minutes.
Calling managers for help during difficult conversations.
Losing opportunities because the right help did not arrive in time.
What we learned

Sellers did not need more training. They needed the right help, just in time, while preparing, pitching and following up.

2018

Our first enterprise deployments.

Insurance, banking and financial services taught us that sales software cannot be generic.

Every organisation had different products, sales processes, hierarchies, compliance rules and ways of selling. A product that worked for the seller was only the beginning. Real deployment needed security, integrations, governance and deep industry configuration.

What we learned

Enterprise software must fit the business. The business cannot be forced to fit the software.

2022

We saw the full transformation challenge.

20+large enterprise deployments
100,000sellers live

We worked closely with sales, transformation, learning and technology teams. We saw what it took to launch products, change seller behaviour, drive adoption and keep systems aligned as the business changed.

Sellers still searched, updated and followed up by hand.
Managers still chased teams for updates and built reports manually.
Technology teams still carried integrations, administration and endless change requests.
What we learned

Integrations moved data. They did not remove the work between systems.

2024

More industries. More systems. The same pain.

Dashboards did not solve the manager’s problem. More data did not give leadership control.
1M+frontline users
50M+sales conversations a year
11Indian languages

Sharpsell expanded into automotive, consumer durables, pharma and other industries. The pattern kept repeating. Managers still could not see inside customer conversations, or tell which seller needed help before a deal stalled. Leadership had more reports and still could not forecast reliably.

At the same time we built production AI for the hardest frontline conditions: voice-led usage, 11 Indian languages, code-switching, mobile devices, patchy connectivity and regulated environments.

What we learned

Dashboards do not solve execution problems. AI works only when it understands the business, earns frontline trust and runs safely at enterprise scale.

2025

Why copilots were not enough.

Adding AI to a broken operating model did not remove the work people still had to carry.

By then we had built AI that could prepare sellers, capture conversations and generate content. But the systems underneath were still fragmented. A copilot could suggest what to do. It could not act when the lead, the history, the workflow and the business rules sat in systems waiting for people to update them.

Sellers still had to connect the dots.
Managers still had to decide what mattered.
Leadership still could not see how the company was actually selling.
What we learned

The system of record captured what happened. People still did the work. Our customers were paying three times over: in money, in time, and in the human effort that never went away.

2026

The culmination.

Lead and activity execution, sales context, playbooks, conversations, voice, coaching and AI agents, in one system.

Across more than 40 enterprise deployments, the context needed to understand how an organisation sells and the ability to act on it finally came together. Today 20+ agents run live across BFSI, auto, consumer goods, building materials and 7 other industries. Coach has run more than 3 million roleplays in 11 Indian languages.
